Before you begin creating your pages, you should spend some time carefully planning your site. Well-designed web pages will always be popular. Follow these steps:

Decide on a theme

    What is the purpose of your web site? What is the main topic?

Examine other Web pages

Visit other some sites on the Web. Decide which ones you like and which ones you don't like. Search for sites on your topic. Try not to duplicate the information by creating a site which provides different information and content form those that you find.

Consider copyright laws

If you are using information or images from other sources, be sure it is not copyrighted. If you have permission to use images and text created by other individuals, give them credit for their work.

Gather the content

    Collect the information you need. Gather the images you want to use. Be sure you stick to your overall theme.

Organize the content

    Divide your information into sections. Each section will be a separate page of your site. Each page should contain a different concept or idea. You should have enough information for each page to fill the screen.

Insert Links and Images

Determine when and where you will have links and images. Links allow readers to select an image or highlighted text to display another page. Links are one of the most important features of Web site design. They allow your site to be "interactive". Readers can move through information easily and quickly. Images add visual appeal to your site.

Provide a FAQ

A list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) helps educate readers quickly. You should consider writing a FAQ if you are providing scientific or technical information.
